Highway-terrain tires: treadwear and grades
Lines whose NHTSA product name says highway-terrain (H/T) or highway.
Method note: this category is inferred only from name markers (H/T, HT, "Highway") in NHTSA’s product names. It misses lines that don’t say so in the name, and we can’t verify a maker’s category from this data.

FAQ
How do you decide which tires are highway-terrain?
Only from the product name NHTSA lists. Lines whose name contains H/T, HT, "Highway" are included. NHTSA has no tire-type field, so lines without a marker are not classified, and a name marker is the maker's naming choice, not a test result.
What is the typical treadwear grade for highway-terrain tires?
The median line grade among the 96 marked lines is 500; all 3,020 rated lines have a median of 420. Treadwear is not mileage.
Which brand has the most highway-terrain-marked lines?
Bridgestone (16 lines), then Falken (5).
