All-season tires: treadwear and grades
Lines whose NHTSA product name carries an all-season marker.
Method note: this category is inferred only from name markers (A/S, AS, "All Season") in NHTSA’s product names. It misses lines that don’t say so in the name, and we can’t verify a maker’s category from this data.

FAQ
How do you decide which tires are all-season?
Only from the product name NHTSA lists. Lines whose name contains A/S, AS, "All Season" are included. NHTSA has no tire-type field, so lines without a marker are not classified, and a name marker is the maker's naming choice, not a test result.
What is the typical treadwear grade for all-season tires?
The median line grade among the 269 marked lines is 500; all 3,020 rated lines have a median of 420. Treadwear is not mileage.
Which brand has the most all-season-marked lines?
Falken (36 lines), then Hankook (35).
