Disclosure: TireMileage is independent and sells nothing. Retailer links are plain links today; if we join affiliate programs later we may earn a commission, marked on the page, and it will never change a ranking.

Methodology

Quick answer: Every grade on this site comes from NHTSA's public tire ratings API, pulled 2026-10-25. We computed ranks and percentiles from those grades. We do not show prices. A maker's mileage warranty appears only on a few lines, and only where we read it on the maker's own page (linked).

Source

https://api.nhtsa.gov/tires?dataSet=ratings returned 7,628 records; we retrieved 7,628 unique records. The API caps pages at 100 rows and only allows non-unique sort keys, so the pull script dedupes by NHTSA record id and checks the total. NHTSA is a U.S. federal agency; works of the U.S. federal government are generally not subject to U.S. copyright. Grade definitions: NHTSA TireWise, 49 CFR 575.104.
